This roof top was the site of a bee removal in Pomona CA.  With a nice view of the snowcapped San Gabriel Mountains in the distance and just a few bees hovering around it looked pretty normal.  Just beneath the roof however there was a huge beehive.

This is what was underneath.  A beehive that had been building up for more than a year.  The bees were not happy about having the roof torn open even though it was a live bee relocation and I used plenty of smoke to try to keep them calm.

A close up of bees on the honeycomb.

There was a tear in my bee suit near the right ankle.  The bees got inside my pant legs and shoes and stung me about 25 times.
